DHAKA: At least 79 leaders and activities of opposition BNP were sued for their alleged involvement with Saturday’s clash between BNP and Awami League at Harinakundu upazila of the district.
AL activist Abdullah Al Maruf filed the case with Harinakundu Thana on Saturday night.
Harinakundu Thana officer-in-charge Abul Khayer told banglanews, “Of the assused, police held Upazila BNP president Abul Hossain, BNP leader Mosharaf Hossain and Kabil Hossain in this connection.”
On Saturday, the leaders and activists of both the parties locked into a clash, leaving 10 people including 5 police injured.
