Stocks witnessing gain

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s premier bourse is underway showing positive in share-price indices on Thursday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 15 points to stand at 4,472 at 10:45 am.

Trade deals stood at 4,489 with transaction at Tk 199 million.

Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 21 declined and 5 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 43 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,684 by gaining over 10 points at 10:44 am.

Out of the issues traded, 39 gained, 8 declined and 2 remained unchanged.
