2-day cultural fest begins at JU

 JU: A two-day cultural festival is underway at Jahangirnagar University (JU) marking the anti killer-rapist day.

The programme was organized by the cultural alliance of the university on Wednesday.

A protest procession attended by some 200 students was brought out from Social Science faculty premises and ended at JU Shaheed Minar. Meanwhile, a musical programme was also held at JU Shaheed Minar on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday two dramas `None Fiction` and `Chacra Bojja` will be staged at the same place at 7.30 pm.

JU has been observing `anti killer-rapist day` on August 2 every year since 1999.
