DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia Thursday categorically said the verdict is biased and unacceptable as former chief justice ABM Khairul Haque gave separate verdicts before and after his retirement.
She came up with the allegation while talking to journalists at a press conference held at her Gulshan party office in the city Thursday.
The press conference was arranged to give the reaction of BNP-led 18-party alliance on the full text of the verdict, which was released on Sunday.
On September 16, the High Court made public its full verdict that repealed the 13th Amendment to the constitution through which caretaker government system was introduced.
Seven Justices, including former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque signed the signed the copy of full text judgment on the 13th amendment of constitution that declared caretaker government (CG) system illegal.
