DHAKA: Trading at Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange will begin from 10:30am, half an hour before than the current timings.
The decision will be effective from June 3, authorities sources confirmed banglanews.
A press released signed by deputy general manager of DSE Public Relations Department Shafiqur Rahman reads, the new schedule will be effective form June 3 whilst the office schedule has been altered as from 9:30am to 5:30pm instead of from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
The transaction session also has been set as from 10:30am to 2:30pm instead of from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
Similar schedule has been set for the CSE as per direction of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday, chief executive officer of CSE Sayed Sajid Hossain told banglanews.
Earlier on April 17, pleading the appreciation of the new schedule, the duo placed printed proposal to SEC.
On May 17, SEC replied the approval letters to the chief executive officers of the stock exchanges.
