DHAKA: BNP standing committee member MK Anwar claimed that the country is now experiencing silent famine and one crore people are living under poverty line.
He came up with the claim while addressing a rally in front of party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan area Sunday.
MK Anwar said, “There is extreme extortion of Awami League in the country which also causing price hike and the common people have become unable to buy daily necessaries.”
The rally was also addressed, among others, by party’s standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon, Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal and general secretary Saiful Islam Nirob.
