DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday after three straight trading days of gains.
The DSE general index shed over 46 points to stand at 5,417 at the close on the day trading.
The volume of transactions also tumbled to Tk 11,207 million from Sunday’s Tk 12,018 million. Trade deals stood at 218,629 against the previous day’s 231,644.
Of the issues traded, 83 advanced, 160 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 690 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were GP, JAMUNAOIL, BEXIMCO, TITASGAS, KEYACOSMET, MPETROLEUM, MICEMENT, AFTABAUTO and UNITEDAIR.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 10,081 by dropping over 121 points.
Out of the issues traded, 59 gained, 123 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
On Sunday, benchmark indices at DSE and CSE rose over 120 and 193 points respectively.
