Journos remark confusing people: Sahara

DHAKA: Home Minister Sahara Khatun Tuesday alleged that journalists’ comments on Sagar-Runi are creating confusion among the probe team and the people.

“Journalists are delivering confusing statements at different times about the killing which turns the people baffled,” she added.

The minister came up with the observation while addressing a discussion marking the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking held at city’s Osmani Memorial auditorium.

While replying a query about the remark of ATN Bangla chairman on Prime Minister and Rapid Action Battalion, the Home Minister said, “If we found anything fishy in his speech, we must take action against him.”

Asked whether any action would be taken against the attacks on journalists, Sahara Khatun said, “If anybody attacks you, then file a case, we would take action.”
