DHAKA: A Dhaka Court deferred until September 10 the hearing on framing charge against five accused for their alleged involvement in Dr Humayun Azad murder.
Judge of Dhaka Fourth Additional Metropolitan Session Court M Habibur Rahman fixed the date following a time petition Tuesday.
On April 30, CID inspector Lutfar Rahman submitted charge sheet against five activists of the banned militant outfit JMB.
The charge sheeted persons are Mizanur Rahman alias Minhaj alias Shafiq, Anwarul Alam alias Bhange Shahid, Nur Mohammad alias Sabu, Salehin alias Salahuddin and Hafiz Mahmud.
On February 27, 2004, some miscreants attacked professor Humayun Azad near TSC while he was returning home from Ekushey Book Fair, living him seriously injured. He died on August 11, 2004 during research work in Germany.
