10 suspects held at Shahbag

FROM SHAHBAG:  Detective Branch of police held 10 suspected people from near the Shahbag Ganajagaran Manch on Monday morning.

Sirajul Haque, officer-in-charge of Shahbag police station, told banglanews that they were taken to the police station around 9:00am.

The ten people were roaming near the Shahbag Chattar with big sized luggage.   On suspicion, DB police held them and handed over to Shahbag police station.

They detainees are the members of Ahmadia Muslim Jamaat, a DB official said.

On information, a member of the organization rushed to the police. Wishing anonymity, the person told banglanews, “The detainees are hailed from Natore. They came to Dhaka to join annual meeting of Kadiani to hold at Bakshibazar in the city.”
