NEW YORK: Railway Minister Suranjit Sengupta is the victim of the communal politics and Nandirhat, Satkhira and the propaganda against Suranjit are interlinked.
Leaders of United States Hindu Boydho Christian Unity (USHBCU) parishad came up with the allegation recently at a press conference here.
They also blamed flatly all Bangladeshi media for taking part of it to jump on Suranjit Sengupta.
They said media in Bangladesh giving unnecessary and extra efforts to label this veteran politician as involved in corruption and they said this in a press briefing this evening in New York.
The organization didn’t rule out the possibility of conspiracy by bureaucrats or inner party grouping along with the anti liberation forces.
They claimed that Suranjit Sengupta spoke against Satkhira’ communal violence and he is the strong voice of the Hindu minority people in the country.
President Nabendu Datta, Shitangshu Bikash Guho, Ratan Barua and Thomas Dulu Roy led the press briefing while many of their members were also present at the press briefing.
Nabendu Datta strongly criticized the incumbent government and expressed their frustration against the violence to suppress Hindu minority in the country.
He also challenged “no single politician in Bangladesh will be found honest and they all are millionaire”. All politicians have their luxurious apartment, building at Gulshan, Banani and elsewhere.
He said, “Shame to the constitution and shame to the country as shame to the politicians.”
Sitangshu Bikash Guho told the journalist that just because of the identity as Hindu, Suranjit Sengupta is targeted by even the media and media Jumped on him like they “got him.”
He also blamed media by saying media are giving extra efforts to exaggerate the issue.
Criticizing the government, he also raised his finger to Prime Pinister sheikh Hasina and Home Minster Sahara Khatun as Suranjit Sengupta advised them to visit the Satkhira district after the communal violence.
Expressing enormous anger to the “Hindu repression” in Bangladesh, the organizers also said Suranjit Sengupta is the scapegoat, when the minority across the world is united to protest the repression.
