DHAKA: Opposition leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia returned home on Friday morning from Saudi Arabia after performing holy Umrah.
An Emirates airlines flight carrying the opposition leader and her entourage landed at Shahjalal International Airport in the evening.
Party top leaders including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, chairperson’s adviser Dr. Osman Faruk, ex-home minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, joint secretary generals Barkatullah Bulu and Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, organizing secretary Mizanur Rahman Minu among others, received her at the airport.
Earlier on August 8, she left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah Hajj.
During her visit, she resided in Royal Shafa Palace as a guest of Saudi Arabian King.
Khaleda Zia’s younger son Arafat Rahman’s wife, his offspring, younger brother of Khaleda Shamim Iskandar, his wife Kaniz Fatema and son Faiz Iskander and APS to Khaleda Zia Suratuzzaman are accompanying Khaleda at the tour.
