Tk 47 cr IU budget announced

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY (KUSHTIA): A total of Tk 47 crore budget of Islamic University (IU) has been announced Wednesday for the fiscal year of 2012-13.

IU Treasurer Professor Dr M Shajahan Ali placed the budget at the senate meeting held at Vice Chancellor’s office.

IU VC Professor Dr M Alauddin Chaired the budget programme.

Among others, IU Registrar Dr Moslem Uddin, Director of Finance and Accounts (In-charge) M Akamuddin Biswas, Deputy Director (Budget) M Siddique Ullah and Assistant Registrar Sheikh M Zakir Hossain were among others present on the occasion.

Of the total budget, University Grant Commission (UGC) will provide Tk 41.40 crore while the rest Tk.5.60 crore will come from university’s own sources.
