DHAKA: For maintaining world class standard, the demand of the products of country’s conglomerate Bashundhara Group (BG) is increasing in India especially tissue, paper and cement.
So, the Indian businessmen are showing interest in importing the products of Bashundhara Group.
They are asking and becoming sure about the quality of BG products in the Indo-Bangla Trade Fair at city’s Hotel Sonargaon.
The third Indo-Bangla trade fair 2012 kicked off at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel Thursday in a bid to straighten the bilateral business ties.
Along with BG, more than 16 leading Indian and 20 Bangladeshi companies are displaying their products and services by setting up 33 stalls and eight pavilions at the fair.
BG is displaying various types of tissue, sanitary napkin, King Brand cement, Bashundhara cement, paper and others products in the fair.
BG paper section executive Tamanna Tasmin said, “We have displayed some 18 kinds of tissues, 20 kinds of papers and King Brand and Bashundhara Cement. We are selling at retail level this year so that all customers can see our products.”
Currently BG is exporting tissue paper in various countries including India, Srilanka, Nepal and South Africa.
The fair will remain open for all visitors at the ball room of the hotel from 10am to 8pm everyday.
