KUSHTIA: A 35-year-old passerby was killed in a road accident on Khustia-Ishwardi road in Sholodag area under Bheramara upazila of the district Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Taijal Pramanik, son of Badsha Mia of Chandipur village of the same upazila.
Witnesses said a rashly driven truck rammed over Taijal while he was crossing the road, leaving him injured critically.
He was rushed to Kushtia General Hospital where doctor declared him dead, witnesses added.
Officer-in-Charge of Bheramara Thana Riazul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
