RAJSHAHI: A prisoner serving life term in a murder case died of heart attack at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Thursday noon.
He was captive at Rajshahi central jail.
The deceased was identified as Ganopati, 50, of Telkupi village under Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj.
Rajpara Thana SI Al Amin told banglanews, “Ganopati was admitted to RMCH after a suffering of cardiac arrest on Wednesday noon. Later, he died under treatment here on Thursday noon.”
He was convicted in a murder case, he added.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue. An unnatural death case was filed in this connection.
