SAVAR, DHAKA: An official of Hameem Group was killed in a road accident in Polashbari area of Ashulia under Savar Thana of the district Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mokhter Hossain, 35, production officer of the business organization.
Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus knocked Mokhter down from behind while he was waiting for office bus, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, locals and agitating workers of Hameem Group vandalized some vehicles which halted vehicular movement on Nabinagar-Kaliakoir Highway for an hour.
Sub-Inspector of Ashulia Thana Badrul Alam told banglanews, “The body was handed over to Mokhter’s family and a case was filed in this connection.”
