PARBATIPUR, DINAJPUR: Police on Wednesday arrested a Jamaat-e-Islami leader from the district for his suspected involvement with destructive activities.
The arrestee is---- Abdul Rashid, 32, son of late Abdul Kuddus of west New Colony and Jamaat president of ward-7 under the municipality.
Meanwhile, Jamaat men took out a procession in support of Thursday’s hartal around 5pm.
Confirming the matter Parbatipur Model Police Station OC Sawkat Ali said, “Abdul Rashid was arrested around 1pm for his suspected involvement with destructive activities.”
