DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah urged the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to ensure trial of corrupt ministers of the her government instead of finding out World Bank’s fault.
Addressing the Premier, he said, “You are demanding trial of the World Bank terming it corrupt. But before this you have to bring your corrupted ministers to book.”
He came up with the call while addressing a human chain demo at National Press Club premises around 10:30 am Tuesday.
Jatiya Nagarik Sangsad organized the programme demanding resignation of Prime Minister and Finance Minister by admitting the liability of Padma-bridge graft.
The senior BNP leader said the image of the country has been stigmatized before the world over the issue.
Meanwhile, he urged the government not to play with the fate of 16 crore people of the country.
