DHAKA: A sweeper died of suffocation as he fell into a manhole while cleaning in city’s Banani area Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 18.
Sub-Inspector of Banani Thana Delwar Hossain told banglanews that Shafiqul fell 20-25 feet down of the manhole and his co-workers failed to rescue him.
On information, police rushed in and recovered the body, he added.
