DHAKA: Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni categorically Monday said the fund cancellation of the World Bank on Padma Bridge has disappointed the country.
“We are still trying to communicate with other donor agencies for funding in the Padma Bridge project along with the own funding,” she added.
The foreign minister came up with the observation while addressing a view exchange meeting arranged by Indian Media Correspondent Association in Bangladesh (IMCAB) held at the National Press Club.
The ruling Awami League lawmaker also expressed hope of signing Teesta water sharing deal soon.
The view exchange meeting was addressed, among others, by IMCAB president Farid Hossain, general secretary Sukumar Sarkar and others of the organization.
