School boy commits suicide in Noakhali

NOAKHALI: A school boy reportedly committed suicide by drinking poison in Purba Charbata area under Subarnachar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Nizam Uddin, 14, a class six student of Ram Gabinda High School and son of Shamsuddin, of Purba Charbata village.

Family sources said Nizam’s father scolded him for not working at their crops field, provoked him to take poison.

Subarnachar Thana OC Abul Kalam told banglanews, “On information, police rushed in and sent the body to Noakhali Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.”

An unnatural death case was filed in the connection.
