SYLHET: A girl was allegedly raped at a vegetable field in Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj on Monday.
The girl is a class V student in a local school.
Victim’s family sources said Muhammad Ali, 30, also father of a child raped the girl finding her alone in a vegetable field while she was returning from school around 5pm on Monday.
They added the culprit was not arrest even after three days.
Confirming the matter Chhatak Police Station OC Mustafizur Rahman told banglanews, “Jaiya Police Outpost in-charge has been given the duty to investigate the matter and arrest the culprit.”
Meanwhile, the girl is being treated at Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
