DHAKA: Health Minister AFM Ruhal Haque is set to address a press conference Tuesday over the ongoing movement of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) admission seekers.
Earlier on Monday, the minister claimed that the owners of different medical admission coaching centers are fueling the demonstration to carry on their businesses.
According to the intelligence agencies’ information, the Jamaat-Shibir men are instigating students to stage demonstration as they are the running countrywide coaching business.
The source confirmed that the agitating students admitted the involvement of Jamaat-Shibir men in the demo.
Sources said Jamaat-Shibir men are plotting to undermine the government by utilizing the issue.
Earlier on August 12, the government decided to take admission in MBBS and BDS degrees for public and private medical colleges of the country without admission test.
The students who expect to take admission in medical colleges can take admission as per their results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), according to the new decision.
