BHOLA: A child was killed when a battery-run auto rickshaw knocked her down on Bhola-Daulatkhan road near Chaoltatali area under Daulatkhan Upazila of the district on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mariam, 8, daughter of Sheikh Farid, Uttar Joynagar Union of the upazila.
Daulatkhan Thana Officer-in-Charge Mobasher Ali told banglanews, a battery-run auto rickshaw knocked her down in the area at around 11:30am while she was crossing the road, leaving her injured critically.
Meanwhile, Mariam was rushed to Bhola Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead.
