Stocks witnessing gain

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Tuesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 39 points to stand at 4,506 at 11:00am on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 19, 104 with transaction at Tk 912 million.

Of the issues traded, 176 advanced, 17 declined and 6 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 235 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,774 by gaining over 71 points at 11:00am.

Out of the issues traded, 71 gained, 9 declined and 4 remained unchanged.
