DHAKA: Opposition BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed Sunday categorically said the government could never construct Padma Bridge without funding of World Bank (WB).
“It is not possible for any government to construct the bridge without WB’s funding although the incumbent government is shouting to build it with own funding,” he said.
The BNP lawmaker came up with the observation while addressing a rally in front of party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan.
The Awami League government will be ousted for its failure and corruption, and the people will reject them in next election, he added.
The rally was also addressed, among others, by party’s standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia, education affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokon, Jubo Dal president Moazzem Hossain Alal and general secretary Saiful Islam Nirob.
