MADARIPUR: Some 276 leaders and activists of BNP and its associate organizations were sued for their alleged involvement in a cocktail explosion and clash between Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Kalkini Upazila Saturday.
BCL general secretary of Kalkini Upazila unit Ruhul Amin Mir Sujan filed the case with Kalkini Thana on Sunday night.
Kalkini Thana OC Shahin Mandal told banglanews, “The BCL leader filed the case naming 26 and against 250 unidentified others following a cocktail explosion and clash between JCD and BCL.”
Wishing anonymity, a BCL leader told banglanews, “The case was filed for giving death threat to leaders and activists of BCL and attack on them.”
On Saturday, at least 20 people were injured in a clash between Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in Kalkini Upazila and a cocktail was exploded over a reception of JCD organizing Secretary Anisur Rahman Khokan Talukder.
