RAJSHAHI: Police on Sunday detained two pro-Shibir intern doctors of Islami Bank Medical College Hospital in the city on charge of cutting off veins of Chhatra League leader Akheruzzaman Takim and attacking police.
They were held in the mourning and police disclosed the matter in the noon. “They were locked up at thana for interrogation,” said a police source.
Officer-in-Charge of Boalia Model Police Station Alamgir Hossain told banglanews that the detained had link with Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
The detainees were shown arrest in the attack on police in city’s Shahebbazar on November 6, the OC said.
He added: “We detained the two in drive at different hostels and the Islami Bank Medical College Hospital in city’s Nowdapara.”
