KHULNA: A man was chopped to death by some unidentified miscreants in Padma village under Dighalia upazila of the district Monday.
The deceased was identified as Aliar Rahman, 50, religious affairs secretary of Dighalia BNP unit.
Police Super of the district Tanvir Ahmed told banglanews that some miscreants chopped him to death around 11:30am in the area while he was returning home after offering Eid-ul-Fitr prayer.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
The motive of the murder could not be known yet, the SP added.
