DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman and also the former president HM Ershad claimed that the people would choose Jaitya Party in the next election.
He said: “People will cast their votes even for any banana tree with ‘langal’ symbol in the next polls.”
He came up with the observation in a joint meeting at city’s Engineers Institution auditorium Saturday.
Urging JP leaders and activists to be united and strengthened, Ershad said, “They could not ruin me by jailing me for six years rather instinct me for hard determination.”
The meeting was also addressed, among others, by party’s secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader, presidium member Rawsan Ershad, Golam Habib Dulal and SM Alam.
