DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad’s sister Rokeya Rahman died out of kidney and liver complications at city’s United Hospital in Gulshan Sunday evening. She was 72.
Sources said she died out of kidney and liver complications in the hospital around 5:30pm.
Rokeya left behind husband, son and a daughter to mourn her death.
Former President HM Ershad, Jatiya Party secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hauladar, presidium member Prof Delwar Hossain Khan, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu expressed deep condolence over Rokeya’s death.
Sources said she will be buried in Banani Graveyard following her Namaz-e-Janaza at Gulshan Azad Mosque after zahr prayer on Monday.
