BHOLA: A mild tremor jolted Chittagong and Bhola regions on Sunday morning.
The quake that was felt for about 30 second, reports our Bhola correspondent.
There was no immediate report of damage or casualties in the earthquake, said deputy commissioner Khandaker Mostafizur Rahman.
Banglanews Chittagong Bureau reports that at 7.15am the quake was felt for about 30 second and there was no immediate report of damage or casualties.
Assistant Meteorologist of Patenga office Arif Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Earlier, a 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck north-central Myanmar early Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake was reported to be only 6.2 miles deep. The agency originally reported the magnitude to be 7.0 but revised that number downward.
