JOYPURHAT: Three people were killed and another one injured in a road accident in Balait Crossing area under Kalai upazila of the district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Moshir Uddin, 50, Bablu Mia, 45 of Bhabpi village and Enamul Haque, 30, of Khetlal upazila.
Witnesses said a rashly driven truck rammed a rickshaw-van in the area, leaving the van puller Bablu and Moshir dead on the spot and Enamul and Mina injured.
Enamul succumbed to his injuries on way to Shaheed Zia Medical College Hospital, Bogra.
Officer-in-Charge of Kalai Thana Moklesur Rahman told banglanews that on information, police seized the truck and its driver.
