DINAJPUR: Border Security Force (BSF) of India picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Chapra frontier under Birampur upazila of the district early Sunday.
The abducted was identified as Sabur Rahman, 27.
Locals said BSF jawans of Gumshi camp tortured Sabur and picked him up while patrolling in cheakpost-10 in Taldighi area around 2:00am.
Sabur’s elder brother Shahidul Islam told banglanews: “He left house after dinner last night. Later, I heard the matter from others in the morning.”
Union Parishad member Akram Hossain confirmed the matter.
On the other hand, a delegation led by Achinapur Camp Commanding Officer Habildar Moklesar Rahman and UP member Akram Hossain from Bangladesh’s side sat in a flag meeting with BSF personnel led by Gumshi Company Commander Inspector Shamming Singh in the afternoon.
