SYLHET: Finance Minister ABA Muhith on Thursday categorically said next national polls would be held within three months following the expiration of the tenure of the incumbent government.
The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the observation while addressing a propgramme organized by the district unit of Juba League.
Most of the pledges of the government to the people have been fulfilled while we are trying to fulfill rest of the electoral pledges as soon as possible, the minister said.
Muhith also observed that Bangladesh has obtained identity in the world as an advancing country as the government has fulfilled its 5-year target within one and a half year.
To place the list of government’s success, he mentioned that the government attained 100 percent success in education, health, preventing terrorism and economic sector.
Addressing the programme, he further said war crimes trial would be completed by December in next year.
