Girl drowned in Bauphal

BAUPHAL (PATUAKHALI): A school girl drowned in a lake in municipality Sadar of the district Friday.

The deceased was identified as Bithi Natta, 15, a class ten student of Bauphal Ideal Girls’ High School and daughter of Kaai Natta, of Daspara Union.

Locals said Bithi drowned in a lake nearby her uncle’s house while washing hands and face in the morning.

Later, her family members recovered her body from the lake at about 5pm, said police.
