SYLHET: Two people were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto rickshaw in Chowghari Matir Dokan area under Golapganj upazila on Monday evening.
The deceased were identified as Hafiz Aktar Hossain, 40, headmaster of Tikarpara Madrasa, and CNG driver Faruk Mia, 45, son of Asoddor Ali.
Witnesses said a Sylhet-bound bus collided head-on with a CNG-run auto rickshaw around 6:30pm, leaving Faruk Mia dead on the spot.
Hafiz Aktar Hossain died on the way to hospital.
