NOAKHALI: A Swechhasebak League leader was killed in a road accident on Feni-Laxmipur Highway in Chowmuhani municipality crossing area Thursday.
The deceased was identified as M Sumon, 33, son of Abdul Quddus, organizing secretary of the front organization of the ruling Awami League of Ward No 4 under the municipality.
Witnesses said a rashly driven truck crushed into his motorbike in the area, leaving him injured critically.
He was rushed to a private hospital in the district where he died.
Sub-Inspector of Begumganj Model Thana told banglanews that on information, police rushed in recovered the body.
