DHAKA: Home Minister Advocate Sahara Khatun visited the United Hospital to see the bdnews journalists who were attacked by criminals in front of its Amtoli office in the city`s Mohakhali on Monday night.
Sahara Khatun along with state minister for home Advocate Quamrul Islam went to the hospital at about 12:39am on Tuesday.
Earlier, Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad went to the hospital at 11:50pm on Monday. He stayed there for 30 minutes and took information about the injured journalists.
In response to a question on Juba League’s involvement with the attact, Sahara Khatun said, “Whoever the criminals, they would not be spared.”
“Attack on journalists is a condemnable incident. The government will take action after investigation,” said the minister.
At least eight journalists of bdnews24.com, an online news agency, were injured following an attack of criminals in front of its Amtoli office in the city`s Mohakhali on Monday night.
The incident took place on the fifth floor of the Building-99 near the Government Bon Bhaban (Forest Building) around 9pm.
bdnews24.com Sub-Editor Newaz Mohammed Rifat and Correspondent Salahuddin Wahid Pritom received serious injuries in their legs.
