Jamaat Ameer, 3 others held in Comilla

COMILLA: Police held four Jamaat leaders, including upazila Ameer from the Muradnagar area on Monday afternoon.

The detainees were identified as Muradnagar upazila Jamaat Ameer MD Mansur Mia, Jamaat member Abul Hossain Chowdhury of Metinggar village, Monirul Islam of Bhangura village and Kamrul Islam of Khamarghar village.

Muradnagar Thana OC Moazzem Hossain told banglanews, “Acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of police raided the area and held them while holding secret meeting.”

A case was filed against the detainees under Anti-terrorism Act, 2009, said police.
