Humayun to be buried at Nuhash Palli

DHAKA: Noted writer and soap-opera maker Humayun Ahmed will be laid to rest at Nuhash Palli` in Gazipur that was set up by him.

He breathed his last in Bellevue Hospital of America on Thursday night after a nine-month battle against colon cancer.

Bangladesh’s UN mission and family of the author have taken the decision jointly that his body would be sent to home by a flight on Friday night (New York local time).

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at Muslim Center in Jamaica after Jumma prayer on Friday (NY time).

Nuhash palli is a shooting spot of Nuhash Chalachitra and family entertainment center. The specialty of Nuhash Palli is a garden of herbs, where a stone plaque says `Rashed Humayun Oushodhi Udyan`.
