DHAKA: State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Quamrul Islam Thursday apprehended that BNP might create anarchy after Eid in a bid to protect the wartime criminals.
He expressed the apprehension while adressing a discussion meeting and prize giving ceremony on the occasion of the National Mourning Day in the city`s Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU).
The programme was organized by Sheikh Rasel Sishu Sangshad’s Dhaka Central Committee.
The ruling Awami League lawmaker said, “BNP will try to create anarchy after Eid to foil the judgment of wartime criminals.”
He warned everybody to be alert over the matter.
The trial of 5 to 6 wartime criminals would be completed by December next, he hoped.
Among others, Krishak League Vice-President MA Karim, organizing secretary Alauddin Master were present in the programme presided over by association’s president Dr Sultana Shafi.
