DHAKA: Biman Bangladesh Airlines management takes fresh measures to make the national flag carrier more dynamic and effective, including reappointment of a former director, sent into forced retirement during the post-1/11 regime of caretaker government.
“Several administrative measures have been taken for giving a nudge to the Biman,” a source in the state-run aviation company told banglanews.
Mazharul Huq Chowdhury has got his job back and posted as the customer-service director.
He is now the senior-most director in Biman, the source said.
His predecessor Mosaddek Hossain has been transferred to store department in the shakeup.
The store department is now changed into an independent department which was earlier under the department of engineering.
“The previous system was a little problematic and that is why the department is made independent under the leadership of a director,” the source said.
