DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia called upon the leaders and activists to work together putting aside all disputes with each other.
`The Holy Ramadan is ahead. Stronger movement is coming after Eid. We have no other choices but to be successful in the caretaker restoration demo. You have to work together to achieve this,` Khaleda said.
The former Prime Minister came up with the declaration while addressing in a close-door meeting along with 300 leaders and activists from Chittagong at her Gulshan office Sunday night.
Some BNP leaders who attended the meeting confirmed the matter to banglanews24.com.
Chittagong City Corporation mayor Mohammad Monjur Alam, adviser to Khaleda Zia Morshed Khan, former state minster Salahuddin Ahmed, former whip Wahidul Alam, major general (Rtd) Ruhul Alam Chowdhury, BNP organising secretary Ghulam Akbar Khandaker and Mohila Dal president Nure Ara Safa, among others, were present at the meeting.
