DHAKA: Investors saw moderate fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index shed over 50 points to stand at 4234 on the first trading day of the week.
The volume of transactions, however, increased to Tk 2,610 million from Thursday’s Tk 2,389 million.
Trade deals stood at 78,825 against the previous day’s 77,322.
Of the issues traded, 71 advanced, 169 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 190 million having changed hands.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8191 by dropping over 81 points.
Out of the issues traded, 45 gained, 126 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
On Thursday, the benchmark indices of DSE and CSE rose 62 and 97 points respectively.
