Expatriate shot dead in Feni

FENI: An expatriate was shot dead by miscreants at Notun Muhuruganj of Chhagalnaya upazila under the district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman Mintu, 28, son of Abul Hashem of the area.

Recently he returned the country from abroad after eight-years and he was a supporter of local BNP.

Witnesses said Mintu went to Muhuriganj Bazar to chop up a tree. At that time his local political rival Badshah, Monzu and Selim along with other miscreants beat up him in broad day light and later shot, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Chhagalnaya Police Station Aminul Islam said body was sent to Feni Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
