DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing sharp rise in share-price indices on Wednesday for the second straight trading day.
The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 114 points to stand at 4,515 at 12:52 pm.
Trade deals stood at 46,744 with transaction at Tk 1,402 million. Of the issues traded, 240 advanced, 10 declined and 6 remained unchanged.
GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 109 million having changed hands during the time.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,599 by gaining over 166 points at 12:52 pm.
Out of the issues traded, 150 gained, 11 declined and 8 remained unchanged.
