BRAHMANBARIA: The investigation team of International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Saturday arrived at Brahmanbaria Upazila in the district to collect evidence into the allegations of war crimes against Hazi Mobarak Hossain.
The five-member investigation team, led by investigation officer Shaymol Chowdhury, arrived Mobarak Hossain’s home town at about 11am.
The ICT team met the headmaster of Bangladesh Railway School. Later, they went to Muktijoddha Sangsad at about 12pm.
Investigation Officer Shaymol Chowdhury told banglanews Mobarak Hossain informed them that he was a class VII student of Railway School in 1971. The ICT team came here to investigate the matter.
Upazila freedom fighter commander Shahidul Islam told banglanews Mobarak Hossain alias Bomba Hazi is an identified rajakar. He is an accused of mass killing in Gangasagar area.
The ICT team will also visit Gangasagar area, he said.
Mobarak Hossain was former organizing secretary of Mugra Union Awami League.
