PIROJPUR: A school boy was killed as truck rammed him down on Zia Nagar-Baliapara road in Zia Nagar upazila in the district on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nazmul Ahsan Babu, 12, a class six student of Indurkani Meheruddin Pilot High School.
Witnesses said a speedy driven truck rammed him down at about 9am while he was returning from a local market, leaving him dead on the spot.
Centering the incident, locals put barricade on the road and vandalized three trucks and two buses.
On information, police rushed in and brought the situation under control.
